History

The mall opened in 1971 with the marché union & Woolco from when St. Léonard was a separate city until 2002. In the 1970,s, the Marché Union was converted to Aliemnts Bonimart before being converted to Aliments Hypermarché. In the 1980's, the store became a IGA Boniprix (renamed IGA in 1992) until the early 2000's when the IGA moved to a new location nearby the mall as an IGA Extra store. In 1994, Walmart replaced Woolco, even though the older Woolco look and original Walmart Canada logo still remain there. A standalone Burger King used to exist at the mall, but was closed in 2009 and demolished in 2011.
